Bernadette is an important contributor to the arts fabric of Townsville which sits on Wulgurukaba of Gurambilbarra and Yunbenun, Bindal, Gugu Badhun and Nywaigi land. Bernadette has worked in remote communities as an educator and facilitator, has been the inceptor of various ARIs, has regularly exhibited and was a contributor to Kissing Point Sculpture Park with 3 large permanent sculptures. Included in Bernadette's long list of achievements, she is also a publisher She is currently Project Officer for Eddie Koiko Mabo Library at James Cook University. For the past 10 years, Bernadette has been the founding member and manager of Mundy Creek Revegetation Project, which is an extention of her ecological arts practice. This project has won many awards and can thank Bernadette for it's continuance through thick and thin.
